She Mob Videos

She Mob’s video philosophy: conceptualize visual content that enhances the musical atmosphere, and don’t spend any money on it. This seems to work for us. All found footage is from the Prelinger Archives unless otherwise noted. Enjoy.

“Arnica” from Right in the Head – Ode to plant-based medicine. Additional footage from the A/V Geeks Archive.

“Lobster Girls” from Right in the Head – A retooled video of a live-show video. During the live version (at the House of Zoka), we had a band meeting in the middle of the song. What’s amazing is that both versions, live and studio, are exactly the same length, even with overlapping discussion as part of the mix. That’s precision playing, my friends. Or just dumb luck.

“Wet Kitten” from Not in my World (2005) – Racy!

“Botox Party” from Not In My World – Botox NOW!

“Expired Cough Syrup (Don’t Drink It)” from Not in my World – Footage from “Hidden Treasures” (1951) from the A/V Geeks Archive.

“Bloody Valentine” from Not in my World – a love letter and a science experiment.

“Bend Down Low” from Not in my World – Featuring California’s thousands-of-years-old bristlecone pines from the White Mountains in the Eastern Sierras – mysteriosos!

“Was Ist Das?” from She Mob’s sophomore effort, Turn to Chocolate (2001), with selected footage from “Decomposed Carnival,” from the home movie collection on the Internet Archive.

“Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy” from Turn to Chocolate – Lisa wanted to head-bang.

“Mrs. Idey” from our first album, Cancel the Wedding (1999) – A real crowd-pleaser with ominous tones and slide whistle.

“Teacher” from Cancel the Wedding – Last gasp of punk…?

“Luge” from Cancel the Wedding – Hail to this Olympic sporting event.

“Prozac” from Cancel the Wedding –  Lisa took Prozac for a failed medical experiment and got a song out of it.
